What does this mean for us?
It means asking our communities to slow down in our daily lives to notice our children.
It means taking responsibility as community members to consciously include people with intellectual disabilities. To treat our children the way you would like to be treated.
It means looking beyond our own personal needs for a moment and potentially giving up one thing that may help those who lack and desperately need more choices.
It means knowing that families like ours who so want the world to see our children for who they are and the incredible love and integrity they unknowingly offer.
